Privacy Policy

Propozo is a proposal-writing tool for tradespeople. This policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately never collect, and what happens to the information you put into the app.
Who we are
Propozo is operated by Nicolas Chelico, based in Ontario, Canada. For any privacy question, correction, or deletion request, contact support@propozo.ca.
Your voice never leaves your phone
When you describe a job out loud, the speech is turned into text entirely on your device. The audio is analysed as it is captured and then discarded. It is never written to storage on your phone, never uploaded to us, and never sent to anyone else. There is no recording to request, because none is ever kept.
What leaves your phone is the resulting text, and only when you ask for a proposal to be written.
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, from whichever sign-in method you use.
- Business details — your business name, address, trade, and logo, so they can appear on the proposals you send.
- Your rate card — your hourly labour rate, call-out minimum, material markup, and tax rate. These are used to price proposals and nothing else.
- Job descriptions — the text of what you dictated or typed.
- Proposals — the line items, prices, notes, and any PDF you sent to a client.
How proposals are written
To turn a job description into a priced proposal, the text of that description — along with your rate card and business name — is sent to Anthropic, in the United States, which operates the Claude model that drafts it. This is a transfer of personal information outside Canada, and we are telling you plainly because you are entitled to know.
Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. Your voice is not sent — only the text. Your client’s name and address are included when you have provided them, because they appear on the proposal.
Where your information is stored
Everything else is stored in Canada, in Google Firebase data centres in Montreal (northamerica-northeast1). This includes your account, business details, rate card, proposals, and any files you upload.
Information about your clients
When you enter a client’s name or address, you are giving us information about someone else. We store it only so it can appear on the proposal you are writing, and we do not use it for anything else, ever.
You are responsible for having collected that information properly in the course of your work. If one of your clients asks what you hold about them, that request is yours to answer — but we will help you retrieve or remove it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information, or your clients’.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- This website uses no analytics and sets no cookies.
How long we keep it
Your information is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and it is removed immediately — see below.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app, under Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your proposals and their PDFs, your business details, logo, rate card, anything you uploaded, and your sign-in. It cannot be undone, and there is no recovery period.
Proposals you have already sent to a client stay with that client. We have no way to retrieve a document from someone’s inbox.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to support@propozo.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
Who else handles your information
- Google (Firebase) — sign-in, database, and file storage, in Canada.
- Anthropic — writes proposals from your job descriptions, in the United States.
Children
Propozo is a tool for working tradespeople and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
